Our Trainers

Hi, my name is Courtney Stegall,

I have been an athlete my entire life, playing competitive tennis for 15+ years. It taught me to be disciplined and dedicated in anything and everything I do. My favorite muscle group to train is GLUTES and my hobbies include surfing, snowboarding, skating, fishing, camping, and pretty much any sports or outdoor-related things:)

I’ve been in and out of gyms all my life, but a few years ago is when I got really into weightlifting and bodybuilding! I am a bikini competitor and I provide nutrition and meal planning for my clients as well. I LOVE nutrition! And I love teaching people how to live a healthier lifestyle. I have worked with clients ages 18-82.

Discipline is the strongest form of self-love. It is ignoring current pleasures for bigger rewards to come. It is loving yourself enough to give yourself everything you’ve ever wanted. I am very excited to help others achieve their goals!

Hello, my name is Michael Schwertner.

I have been an athlete my entire life, I played multiple sports and as always once I graduated, I was lost and I put on some weight and lacked a lot of confidence.

Almost 5 years ago I did an 8-week program that started my life as a personal trainer, I had lost 17 pounds and became the most shredded I have ever been. Visible 6-pack abs, biceps and shoulders were popping’ and I was feeling good! The most confident I had ever felt.

Fast forward 6 months later, I shadowed a couple trainers at a local gym, learned and asked questions and then went full force into creating my own brand and becoming a full-time personal trainer.

I am a competitive bodybuilder now, I have done one show in the men’s physique category and won my class.

What I specialize in now is lifestyle and general health clients. I want to help people understand that there is a way to get healthy and workout and have fun doing it all at the same time. To not feel trapped but to genuinely appreciate themselves while doing it.

Come ask me about your fitness goals here at Georgetown Fitness. Happy to be a part of this place and hope to make a positive impact here.

My name is Frankie Garcia and I am a Certified personal trainer at 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. I come from a background of being overweight most of my life. I have been lifting for 5 years now and have far exceeded any expectations I had for myself. I now want to help others do the same.

I specialize in weight loss/gain and strength training. I look forward to impacting as many lives as I can!”

Hello, my name is 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲. I was introduced to fitness at a young age and trained at this location while I was in high school competing in football and wrestling. I was a 2-time UIL state champ wrestler at the 220lbs class at Georgetown high school. I also played football as the defensive captain competing for the state championship.

I was selected as the 2013 athlete of the year by the Austin American Statesmen and am currently the only athlete to be a part of 2 all-decade teams for the Austin American Statesmen. After high school, I played a year of football at UMHB and then transferred to wrestle at Nebraska Kearney. I was an Academic All-American but unfortunately, COVID ended my career as no sports could compete.

I absolutely love everything about training and learning about health. I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your health and fitness goals here at @georgetownfitness.

Come train with Jace at Georgetown Fitness!

My name is RJ Deaver. I’ve been a lifelong athlete. Through suffering a major knee injury in high school, I was able to learn the importance of proper exercise execution and recovery. After high school football, I sought a new challenge.

I started working with my mentor and coach to prepare for a bodybuilding show. Through this contest preparation I learned; consistency and discipline, in the gym and in my diet. I want to work with others to reduce the risk of injury and drive them to achieve their fitness goals. Anything is possible.

Hello, my name is Jonathan Starr.

I am 43 years old. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Resource and Environmental Studies I decided to pursue a career in a field that I feel passionate about and I can be of service to others. I chose fitness because I have always been involved in athletics growing up and fell in love with weight training.

With nearly 20 years of experience in the industry, I have managed gyms, remanufactured and sold equipment, owned an equipment service company, provided consultation to gym owners and individuals setting up home gyms, and directed countless clients to a healthy lifestyle through personal training.

Training has taught me that dedication, hard work, and consistency are key to being successful. I combine strength training, cardio and nutritional planning for all my clients focusing on increasing muscle and decreasing body fat!

Hello! My name is 𝗘𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗮 a graduate from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology! With experience in training D1 athletes, HS athletes, rehabilitation/ pre-habilitation strength work, child balance/ coordination, and weight loss!

I have competed in sports my entire life, everywhere from soccer for over a decade, Collegiate football for a national championship team, and my personal favorite powerlifting on the national level. I have been competing in powerlifting for almost a decade now and have loved every minute of it.

Lifting is something that has changed my life for the better and it’s something I want to spread onto other people, one client at a time. No matter if you’re 17 or 70, it is never too late to start and the physical/ mental health benefits that come with being physically active outweigh any fears that may be stopping you from bettering yourself! Come train with Edwin at Georgetown Fitness.

My name is Brennan Eggers,

My love for weightlifting and learning has been my passion ever since I was a kid. I have been surrounded by weightlifting my entire life. My grandfather and uncle were competitive bodybuilders, my mother is a lifetime hardcore gym rat. I began competing in powerlifting and held all the national powerlifting records from 13 to 19 years old.

I graduated high school at 17yrs old weighing 300lbs. After ending my football career, I became even more invested in training myself and learning from the best around me. By 19yrs old I earned my way onto a nationally recognized coaches bodybuilding team (Dave Schachterle, Siccmade Muscle) and competed in my first bodybuilding competition. I lost over 70lbs to get into competition shape.

It was a massive step forward for my understanding of; diet, supplementation, and training (in a competitive context). From this awesome experience I have sought to provide the same level of quality training and education I received over the years of being involved in this hobby.

I have now taken over ownership of a gym Georgetown Fitness and provide top notch service, environment, and information to anyone who sets foot in the gym. I want to give everyone the best opportunity and environment possible to attain their goals, whether a personal health goal or competitive athletic goal.

I am proudly trained and certified through NASM as a Personal Trainer, as well as earning certification through Precision Nutrition. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and see how I help you become the best version of you that you can be! Contact me here at Georgetown Fitness.
