John started Georgetown Fitness in 2003 with the goal of providing a great fitness atmosphere for the city of Georgetown.
John's basic fitness philosophy is that we all should be moving as much as possible each day, while avoiding over processed foods. With medical advances addressing many diseases and extending life, we have to maintain our bodies through functional strength movements and consistent every day activities. It sounds simple, and it is: having a mindset of maintaining an active lifestyle, and not letting our job or technology take control of our bodies.

John O'Connor -- Owner, Trainer

Theo Thurston -- Trainer

Theo has been with Georgetown Fitness since 2003 and has maintained several long term clients. Theo sets a great example for all, as he is in his 50's, but acts, looks and exercises like he is a decade or two younger. Theo works with people of all ages and abilities, but the one thing they all have in common is that they get RESULTS and none of them train like old people! Theo is focused on strength training and nutrition to help his clients get stronger and reduce body fat.
Carole Gill -- Class Instructor
Carole leads some high energy classes that motivate our members to achieve incredible things. From boot camps, to spin, to weight training classes, be ready to sweat and get in he best shape of your life.
Chrissy Creech -- Guest Relations

Claudia Verde -- Trainer

Claudia has been with Georgetown Fitness since 2005 and specializes in providing her clients with a balanced approach to health and fitness. She trains several clients here, many in a group training format of 3-4 people. Her clients have seen great improvements in their fitness level under her watch.
Rocky Galindo - Sports Performance Trainer

Rocky is our head sports trainer, working with youth interested in improving in their sport of choice. Each summer, we also conduct sports performance camps in our large athletic training room. Rocky focuses on general strength and conditioning with all of his athletes, as well as some sport specific movements when relevant. Most of Rocky's clients are middle school and high school athletes, and he conducts private sessions as well as small group training sessions.
Melissa Rinn -- Trainer
Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge to our team. Her passion is in general fitness as well as Triathlon training. Melissa is an active mom who certainly sets a great example for our members - juggling family, exercise, and work tasks. Look for news later in 2010 about her new Triathlon training groups. Melissa is also just returning from giving birth to her third child, so she can certainly advise all of the expecting moms that come into our facility!

Richard Mendez -- Class Instructor

Richard has been with Georgetown Fitness since Day One, and he teaches Core Training, Spin, and acts as a personal run coach for some of our members. He provides motivation and encouragement that keeps some of our people coming back year after year.
